Slow and medium firing cycles are recommended for large Advancer Kiln Shelves. We do not recommend exceeding 300°F per hour from ambient temperature up to 1000°F. We do not recommend exceeding 300°F per hour during cooling. Force cooling is not recommended.

Imitated but never equaled, Starny kiln shelves are thin, lightweight kiln shelves made from an advanced ceramics, nitride-bonded silicon carbide composition. The kiln shelves are 19 times stronger, and weigh 50% less than conventional silicon carbide shelves or 1” thick cordierite shelves.
